Personality of Virgo

They can be serious and they tend to worry. You might not know that behind their serene composure they are thinking about endless details. It is very Virgoan to think, What if I sent that report in and there are mispellings? or Did I double check all the facts?

They are very detail oriented and organized. They like to have all their t's crossed so more than likely they will have double and triple checked reports before handing them in. But, they can still worry and think about these things after the fact.

Virgos identify themselves through their work so it is very important they feel good about what they do. For work to be fulfilling to them they need to feel like they are making a contribution to society. It's important for them to feel useful in some way. Personality of Virgo:

A Perfectionist and Analytical

Virgo is the perfectionist of the zodiac and if there is a better way to something, they will find it. As an earth sign they are respectful of rules. They will always try and work within the system (not overthrow it) and make things better.

Virgo is a mutable sign as is Sagittarius, Pisces, and Gemini. But it is the only mutable sign that is also an earth sign. This means it is flexible and adaptable as all mutable signs are and it is practical and completes what it starts. This is a powerful combination and is one reason why Virgo's are so successful.

They have highly tuned antennae's and a personality of Virgo trait is they can be easily insulted by someone if they are sending out the wrong vibe, or being illmannered in some way.

As a practical earth sign, a big part of a Virgos personality centers around usefulness. They appreciate anything that serves a purpose. So if something is not serving a purpose they rather get rid of it. For this reason, you will find they don't live with a lot of clutter. Their homes have a very clean, almost minimilist look to them.

Personality of Virgo:

Health

Virgoes have a preoccupation with food and it can even turn into an unhealthy obsession. A fair number of young people who suffer from the eating disorders, anorexic and bulimic's are born under this sun sign. Twiggy, the super thin model of the sixties was the first.

Virgo rules the intestinal tract where nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream. It is important to their health to eat the right diet. Many of them have allergies and food sensitivities. They aren't the most robust people but usually are the most healthy because they care so much about how they take care of themselves.

They can border on being fanatics about eating healthy and exercise. Some can take this too far and overly worry about their health. Each twinge or funny feeling leads them to think they might have something more serious wrong with them.

They really don't like germs. They are firm believers in cleanliness and you can be sure their house is kept spotless. Michael Jackson was a Virgo. He is an example of someone who took cleanliness too far. He would stay cooped up in his ranch and when he did go out, he wore a face mask and gloves.

Less than Desirable

A Virgo undoing is they can get so caught up in the rules and following regulations, they forget to take look at a particular situation in its entirety. Every sign has something to learn from its opposite.

Virgo's opposite, Pisces is the last sign and a composite of all the signs that have come before it. It would benefit Virgo to be able to step back, and see the see the big picture as Pisces does. It's ok to bend the rules sometimes and that is something Virgos need to learn. They could also benefit from being a bit more spontaneous like Pisces.

Because they can be so descriminating, they can be quite critical. It's not just others they are critical of. They are much harder on themselves than anyone else.
