Lily Ibnezra has been practicing astrology for over thirty years. Her goal is to help people learn their strong points and thereby strengthen themselves to achieve a happier life.
She describes her work this way:
An astrological chart represents the sky when a person was born. It shows where in the sky the Sun, Moon, and planets were at that time by means of symbols.
Ancients relied on the sky to be their calendar and they divided it into twelve sections which were to them twelve seasons (instead of the four seasons we know today). They knew what season (now called "month") it was by looking up at the sky at night and seeing which constellation's position in the sky coincided with where the Sun was in the sky, during the day.
As we on Earth move around the Sun, the Sun itself appears to move from one constellation to another. And seeing which constellation the Sun appeared to be in indicated to them what the season it was, just as today we look at a calendar and know this. The rulers, guided by their astrologers, used these twelve seasons to track planting and harvesting as well as holidays.
The astrologers called each section a name inspired by the patterns the stars seemed to form in each section of the sky. These are the twelve "signs" astrology uses to create a chart.
Because of the wobble of the Earth, the constellations that the Sun (and the Moon and the planets) appear to be "in" change over a long period of time. When the calendar was invented, the astrological signs the sun appeared to be entering coincided with the beginnings of the months.
However, over millennia, astronomers and astrologers, recognizing this change, corrected for it by keeping the months as is, but changing when a sign "began," in order for it to coincide with the actual constellations the Sun, Moon, and planets were in. That is why the signs begin around the 20th of the month now rather than, as they did when the calendar was first created, a long, long time ago, at the 1st of the month.
In addition, there is another element of the chart, called the Houses (there are twelve of them) which show where the Sun, Moon and planets were in the sky at the exact moment of birth. Of course, determining that exact moment is dicey and many do not have that information about their own birth.
If you assume that everything in the universe emits vibrations, then the pattern of vibrations emitted by the heavenly bodies closest to us--the Sun, Moon, and planets--is imprinted on every cell of the newborn with that child's first breath.
And this pattern of vibrations leaves a basic vibrational tendency with that person for the rest of their life. It does not restrict them, but it gives them paths that pull them, and knowing those paths helps in living life.
The charts I do consist of the actual chart and a 10 to 15 page report interpreting the chart.
