For example, if your first name is Allison you would add up the corresponding numbers (see chart above) and then keep reducing to get a single digit so you would add (A)1 + (L)3 + (L)3 + (I)9 + (S)1 + (O)6 + (N)5 to get 28 = 2 + 8 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1.
