Connecting with Your Spirit Guide and Angels

Dear Shelly,

Thank you for your question. In part of your question, you said, "How do I know this isn't all in my head?" This is something that almost everyone will struggle with. In the beginning, it does seem like its all in your head. Know that is normal and ok.

I also recommend a book by Sonaya Roman entitled, "Opening to Channel". After this channel was fully opened, it made it possible for me to speak to and feel like I was connected with my angels at all times. Before this time, I think I was having the trouble as you are describing.

Yes, your guardian angels are with you from birth and you can call on them. But you have other angels that you can call on at all times as well. The heavy hitters such as Archangel Michael, Rapheel, Jophiel, Gabriel can be with you and other people at the same time so you can call on them without feeling like you are taking them away from something more urgent.

You could pick one or two that you feel a kinship with and call on them whenever you need help, reassurance, or guidance. There is a page on this site that talks about the seven archangels: www.free-psychic-insight.org/seven-archangels.html

In answer though to your question, How do I know who my guardian angel is? The way to do that is to meditate and ask. See what you comes through. But it sounds like you want to connect with one person who you feel is there with you day in an out, someone you can talk to and get guidance from. My suggestion is to follow the directions on my site how to connect with your guides or get Sonaya Roman's book.

Once you do this, you will not believe the difference. You will know your guide is real and is there. They will give you ideas and insights to help you. For example, when I first connected with my guide, Adam, he told me to take a painting class. I did and I'm glad I did. Some good things came from that.

After that, you can choose who you wish to talk to. Everyone will have their own preference who they want to connect with. Some people want to have their guide to go to, some people will want to talk to their Archangels, and others will want to talk to an Ascended Master such as Mother Mary or Buddha. It's realy whomever you feel most drawn to. It sounds like you need to make the connection first, and then the guide or angel will be there for you. They are always there - we're the ones that get in our own way of hearing them.

I hope this isn't confusing. It is a little bit of work in the beginning to do this but once you do it, you will feel so good. You will know you are connected to a higher source and you will receive clarity about your life. Also, life gets lighter and more fun too.
