Guardian Angel/Guide help

Is there a way to tell who your main guardian angel is? I know we had talked about Chrissy as my guide, but I haven't seemed to be able to connect with her. In various times of meditation I have gotten the names Gregory, Bob, Monica and George. These are all names of people that I don't know in "real" life so I feel like they are connected to me spiritually. I guess I am just confused on who to call on, and also confused as to whether this is all in my head. I am having a terrible time with my career and I guess am just looking for the comfort of one go-to person if that makes sense?? Any insight is greatly appreciated!
